Yeah, I know, it's been a while again. I'll just go ahead and keep this short!
I'm super excited to share my writing with you guys, especially Lumina. This is a story I've been building upon for a couple of years and I'm stoked to be sharing it with all of you! I won't be posting drawings as much but I am still practicing my art which is frusterating because I know I'm not that good but I still love it. I've also started learning piano which is so fun to do, music is beautiful!
I have my own apartment now and while Chikfila still sucks balls, I've been able to meet a couple of very important people in my life because of it, so, I guess.
Thank you so much for visiting and I'll be sure to keep up on here as well as be posting my writing and my sewing as much as I can!

Long time no see!

Warning: strong language be advised.
Okay so it's been.... over a year. A lot has happened and most of it good!
Dorm life was not all it came out to be. I mean it was fun, don't get me wrong, but like 89% of things, it was nothing like the movies. My first roommate was nice but.. kinda crazy. It was interesting, kinda unhealthy, and by February I was switching dorms. The funny thing is, the person I was switching dorms with was best friends with my roommate. And my new roommate? We met at a Chik-fil-a because he (who in trans) helped get me the job there (of which I will go into that hell in just a moment). So anyway, we were both dorm mates and work mates! It was great. We had fun, got close, and -BAM OH BY THE WAY YOU HAVE FEELINGS FOR YOUR DORM/WORK MATE NOW. Wha-well shit. So a few months went by of me trying my best not to make it awkward and hide my feelings towards my dorm mate as well as trying to hang out with him as much as possible. Minecraft and Subway kinda became our favourite thing. It was great. And then in no time the school year was over and we were moving into an apartment together! And in the middle of that, against all of my friends' advisings... I confessed to him. It turned out we had feelings for each other for pretty much the same amount of time??!! So fast forward a few months and we are sooo happy together and it's great and honestly I can't remember a time I've been happier.
So back to hell. I mean Chik-fil-A. I worked there for about six months give or take. It was honestly the worst place I have ever worked and they treated their employees worse than shit. Let's just say heat stroke/heat exhaustion, no-breaks allowed, and discrimination were the few 3 out of at least twenty reasons why that place was horrible.
What's that? You say that's all illegal to do to your employees? Yeah, well, they get away with it every. day.
So I quit the fuck out of that place as soon as I could and got an absolutely wondrous job at Target where the pay is amazing compared to Chk-fil-hell, I actually get breaks, and human decency actually exists.
Eh but anyway. Everything is going pretty well considering. I have had to deal with extremely painful ovarian cysts for the past 2 weeks (went to the Er and urgent care) but hopefully that will get fixed soon.
As for drawings, yeah, I haven't done much of anything. All my time has been focused on sewing (my major is fashion/costume) for personal as well as work reasons (I'm also a part-time costumer for schools). It's been pretty great.
For those of you who might have actually been interested in Lumina and were wondering where that went, I promise it's been going. I have almost 400 pages written, just, not any that I've put on Deviant art. See the problem was, every time I made a change in the doc that I'm working off of, I would have to find it on here and make that edit which, believe it or not, actually got kind of confusing because I would forget what edit I made. So my plan is to finish the book as much as I can and then start posting it! SORRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
But I promise, you will see it.. eventually..
Anyway, there's a small (year's worth-ish) update from me!!! Thanks so much for reading and have a wonderful week!

TOMORROW TOMORROW

OH MY GOSH, GUYS!!! I MOVE IN TO MY UNIVERSITY DORM TOMORROW!!! I'm both reaaallly excited and really nervous! I'm also a bit worried cause I've heard how tinsy tiny the dorms are and because of my major I chose, (fashion design) there's a lot of stuff I need to bring (Form fitter, sewing machine, box of fabrics, etc). However my roommate is nice and we're both gamers (her pc me consol). But yeah, classes start on the 20th and I don't have classes on Fridays so I always have a 3 day weekend, yay! I'm also trying to get a job at my school's costume shop, so I really hope I get it! It's low pay but if I get it, the job would be so much fun!
So yeah, uhm sorry I didn't post much this summer. I haven't been home much what with travelling and trying to meet with friends one last time before they leave and even when I was home I had writer's block and the drawing just wasn't coming to me, at least electronically. I drew a lot on physical paper though, and even got two cool books! What's even cooler is that when I searched up the author I found out she has a deviantart! So if you wanna check her out (which I highly suggest, she has some great tips) click here ->

I finally started to get into writing again and then figured out something really upsetting. My story is set in the 17th century but I had been describing from the 18th century! So I went and did over 6 hours of research and made a pintrest specifically for the research and then went back and did a few more hours of research, lol. Needless to say, I prefer 18th century clothing. A lot. But 17th century had some nice clothing choices too... So long as you weren't a man of high class.. Then you'd be wearing puffy shorts! Mmm, no thanks, even as a female.
That's about all I have for now... Uhh if I have any other updates I'll post them in the thingy that kinda acts like a fb or twitter updater thing... Wow, great wording, Jess. Thank you, Jess! (reference from 50% off. Haven't seen it? Well go watch it.. Now! On youtube).

P.S. I FINALLY FINISHED ZELDA SKYWARD SWORD THAT FUDISDCKING GAME. Don't get me wrong, though it wasn't the best game I've played in my opinion, it was still a fairly good and fun game with a storyline that could easily pulled the player in. I'm just glad I finished it though, lol. Great timing too because my Dragon age Origins game finally came innnnnn!!!!

Hiya! Today has been a really cloudy and windy day, kind of matches the mood around our school. Just as the clouds rolled in last evening, so did the news. This is the last year our school will be open. As seniors, we are all relieved that we are graduating, but as a family with four grades, to be losing our home and to learn all at once that we all have to go our separate ways, this is a very sad day. For those of you who don't know, I go to a small private school in Phoenix called Tesseract with only about 100 students. I mean it whole heartedly when I say I have never once heard of a school like this one and it will be severely missed. At this school students are seen as people; as friends and are never just numbers.
I sit here in my last hour every day watching students and teachers conversing as they would their own friends and even the classes are made so much better because of how much students are encouraged to speak out as well as the class sizes themselves. My smallest class this year had 4 people in total while my largest had about 18. But small classes and outgoing teachers isn't the point of this. Since attending this school, I have not only been granted numerous times to explore my passions in curricular classes through artistic freedom, but have also gotten the chance to travel further than I ever imagined.
In the past four years I have walked the Colosseum in Italy and learned about it's history as well as experienced for the first time a different culture, explored the under waters of California and learn the numerous micro-organisms of the sea, trekked the Great Wall in China and learn about its ancient history as well as even be apart of the culture by living with a Chinese family for a week, and interned this past April at Phoenix Theatre to get some experience in something I'd like to pursue as a career.
Of course with every school there is some gossip, but everyone is close with each other and never leaves another out of anything. One of my favourite examples is when the seniors all met up one morning at Ihop and even invited a couple of our teachers. When we went on our senior hike at the beginning of the year, afterwards our teachers took us out to 32nd and Shea and bought us breakfast. But it's not just outside class that was fun, inside class he teachers all taught us at an advanced level. The curricular at Tesseract is automatically basically taught at an AP level. I may have just been ranting to you, but I just wanted to out it out there that such an amazing school, a school where students can express themselves both curricularily and not, where students write and perform their own scripts and are even approached to get them published, where we are more than a school; where our family is coming to an end as our school closes down.
Well other than that weighing on us, it's been alright since my last journal. Been working on Lumina and I'm almost done with chapter 10 finally lol, soon hopefully I'll start putting up the chapters (Yes what I have already put up will be different a bit so don't just completely ignore it, lol). Sadly I still need to fix my computer so drawing is off the grid for now (though I'm not that good anyway so it's not a worry). Uhhhmmm, I started on my graduation dress excited about that! Graduation is on the 28th! Way too soon, lol. Then i'll be heading to ASU!!! Soo, it seems like I've made this long enough. I'm gonna go drown in netflix and stuff, have a fantabulous week! Life update

Soo I know it's been a long time and I'm sorry, but I promise I've been on and checking up on things. But right now I'm sick so I'll keep it short and hopefully write another update soon when I'm better!
Hmmm so since Christmas it's been reaaally busy! I finally got my first job in January which was fun, I met a lot of nice people and was able to save up a little money for college. But sadly today I got sick and puked about 40 minutes before i had to go in and my boss fired me because it was such short notice. I cried, of course, because that reaaally sucks and we needed the extra income... But hopefully I'll get a new job soon. oh and I got accepted into both of my top colleges! Though because my first choice is so expensive, I decided to go with my second choice (the tuition is half that of my first choice).
My friend got me into Korean dramas which is really interesting, lol they're good and so emotional! Like, suuuper much so. (Wow I english good!)
But other than getting fired, life has been pretty good. I almost failed math this quarter, but luckily brought it up to a 69 (ooooh just one more percent!) and psychology is really fun! I thought it'd be hard with all of the memorizing, but it's not. Every year at the end of the year, each grade goes on trips somewhere. Except seniors have a practicum instead where they have to get a 3 week internship. I'm so excited that I got one at Phoenix Theatre for costuming! It was hard finding one because no one wants high schoolers ;-; but they were kind enough to accept me. I finished my first week (9-5 Monday-Friday) and have already learned so much and been able to sew and surge a bunch! It's soooo fun! And made choosing between costume and fashion designing much harder, haha but I've got time.
As for Lumina, I know I said I'd be updating it every week, and I have I promise, but I stopped posting on here because I like to edit as I go so it gets really hard and tedious to keep going back and forth between the doc and deviant art to edit. So, what I'm going to do now is keep these chapters up but I won't update or add more chapters until I am confident that I won't keep going back to those new chapters. Thank you so much for your patience and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. As for Morning Bird, I put that on hold because I lost where I was going with it and I really want to focus on Lumina for the time being. To explain more, I know what I want to do with Morning Bird, it's just going very sloooooow and I don't remember how I was going to get to where I wanted to go with it (because I was foolish enough not to write it down).
Oh oh oh and one thing before I go! Prom is in a month and I was looking online and found this gorgeous red off the shoulder sleeve mermaid skirt dress that I absolutely loved! Two problems with it though: on one website, it was less than 200 but wouldn't arrive until a week after prom and on the other website I found it on, it would have arrived in time but it was 300!! Soooo I found a second choice that was similar to that one. Of course, I still absolutely love the first one, but I'm very happy with the second one and ordered it yesterday and it should be here at the latest a week before prom! I'll post a picture once I get it!
